Have you ever fancied designing and 3D printing your own
board game? Well, now’s your chance. The recently launched open board game
platform allows you to download and share your own board games or play games
designed by others. For starters, download the interlocking hexagon blocks for
the standard board design, and personalise them in any way you want. Then, add
on components such as figurines, cards, dice – even electronic elements – and away
you go. It’s a community project, so you can share your creations and join in a
community with likeminded people, without worrying about copyright. All the
designs – including yours – are shared for free on the site.
