The British Museum in London has fully embraced 3D printing and is now making some of its priceless artifacts available to download and 3D print in plastic at home, or download and send to a specialist 3D print bureau, where they can be output in metal or even sandstone.
Design files, including a bust of the 12th Dynasty Pharoah Amenemhat III, the Easter Island statue of Hoa Hakananai'a and a marble
portrait of Julius Caesar, can be downloaded from the Sketchfab website.
